Ursula Joy – ‘Daredevil’

Founder of Project DARE! Ursula draws on her own experience of being a patient of both primary and secondary mental health services to create and inspire (along with other people with lived experience) the DARE! Sessions.

Ursula says “I find theatre, arts, group work and collaboration with people with lived experience  within mental and public health changes lives. At Project DARE! we are able to provide the environment for people to feel empowered to make changes on their own, long after the course has completed”.

 Bijal Chandria – ‘Screamer’

Bijal began her Daring journey in 2013 when she volunteered to help out with the classes. Bijal is a qualified teacher and met Ursula on a drama teaching course at London’s CityLit college. Ursula snapped her up as quicker than you can blink and the rest is history!”Bijal is a courageous and hard-working lady. Ryan Evans – ‘DareCam Man’

Ryan is P.D’s official cameraman. He helps us record journeys through select Project Dare Sessions and also records awesome videos of our promotions at events.

Nicol Marquis – ‘Dareographer’

Nicol is the newest member of our Dare family, our resident photographer.

Nicol is bursting with passion, energy and creativity- so a natural fit for Dare! Now-a-days digital media forms a vital part of our lives it can often feel like we are on show. For people like myself (who have worried about their bodies), having a photo taken can be fraut with worry. How we feel about ourselves in photographs can trigger deep emotions which we will explore on the course.

Nicol will provide each Darer with a picture of themselves in all their natural, beautiful glory.

She also handles our Twitter feed and helps with our FB page (NM) as well as her own photography business Shooting My Journey.
